A new toy – this one a true beast of a device with a weight to give a Takahashi a run for its money!
Designed originally to allow photos to be taken using an inbuilt camera (I will not be using this film camera), it is well designed (if somewhat big and heavy) precision Zeiss instrument, again from a prior era. It includes a rotating stage and the ability to transform it into a polarising microscope (with the correct filters – not sure if it came with those….)
Being a “proper” microscope, it means I can learn to do microscopy the right way! I am finding the inverted Zeiss IM/IM35 to be a little counter-intuitive!
