Yesterday’s prominence

Here is another stunning amateur image of the prominence I imaged yesterday:

http://spaceweathergallery.com/indiv_upload.php?upload_id=147458&PHPSESSID=kjnhr1vlr2u0i05h0ork83ha63

This time from Florida, and again with expensive glassware (6″ f/8 refractor + Quark)

I console myself that again, it wouldn’t go on a window-sill and be at instant readiness (“The best telescope is the one you use the most”). Doesn’t stop me sighing deeply – – -!

C’mon you Quarkers – put up some competition!

  1. I fantasise over a solar max 60 or 90, just wait for that lottery win!!, but more pressing is a double glazed observatory with everything to hand ready to go as sun peeks thro’. Doing a great job Roger , by the time I get set up its gone hazy or cloudy!!!
