Sunspot AR2718

The new sunspot has now got a number – AR2718.

This was with a Lunt LS152 – 4+ X the aperture of my LS35 and serious money! (£11500-ish)

  1. Oh well! It would be lovely to spend the price of a car on a telescope but the power that is that runs our households probably wouldn’t agree.
    In any case if I purchased such a scope then the sun would not shine for 6 months or only on days when I am at work, we would enter the lowest ever solar minimum, I would drop it or simply forget a vital piece of kit when I really needed it…….or even more simply I would find I could not find the sun!
