Peter Williamson gave a fantastic talk at a recent RAG meeting on online telescopes. He kindly agreed to share his own data from iTelescopes and Faulkes Telescopes to allow RAG members to try out online imaging using large scopes and to practice processing images taken with those telescopes.
You can access Peter’s data from the links below – you will need to obtain log in details onto the database from me by emailing me via the website contact page on http://www.roslistonastronomy.org.uk/contact-us.html. This is available to current RAG members only.
Once you have processed your image, please ensure that you follow any requirements of Peter and Faulkes or iTelescope in attributing the photos and ensure you do not charge for your photo if you publish it.
Information on requirements from Peter: Data from Faulkes has to be credited to Faulkes, Las Combres Observatories and also to Peter Williamson (and of course to yourself if you process it). Data from iTelescope just needs to be credited to Peter Williamson and yourself. No payment can be received for any data.
Each file is up to 20MB in file (each is a compressed ZIP archive), so they will take some time to download!
