Subject: More home-made barlow stuff
I had a few minutes yesterday to play with the X1.5 barlow again.
Full disc images not too good this time due to less than optimum exposures and time constraints. One of the prominences looked like a filaprom, so I tried an extra 2X barlow (X3 altogether – you can in fact “cascade” barlows).
Today, had a bit more time under the leaden skies for a bit more careful processing. The result of carefully merging the disc layer and the prominence layer with the extra barlow in shown in the inset. It is a filaprom, and now looks like a real flame!
