Fractal forms – sworls within sworls on a tree trunk

Saying goodbye to friends at the end of our holiday in Bognor Regis, I noticed this tree. The inbuilt camera on the Samsung S7 phone allowed me to demonstrate increasing detail at smaller and smaller scales.
