I have obtained a second hand Leitz Laborlux 11 microscope to use for outreach – the Zeiss IM microscope is just too big to lug around!
Pictures below – comes with a very nice molded box to carry it arround.
First light images from a Gallus embryo slide (Gallus embryo 12-18 hour E primitive streak) using x10 and x40 objectives and Bresser MikrOkular camera.
Gallus gallus: The Chicken embryo is a staple educational tool in developmental biology.Their availability and similarities with mammalian embryo, help shape our present understanding of embryology.
